Pune: CREDAI Pune Metro, the apex body of private real estate developers in Pune, held its General Body Meeting to discuss updates and developments across its various committees. The meeting was attended by around 150 members and delegates representing Pune’s top developers.
The event was graced by Shri Makarand Nikam, City Engineer of PCMC, who addressed the General Body members over key issues related to PCMC. Also the Gera residential realty report was presented by Mr. Rohit Gera, Managing Director of Gera Developments Pvt. Ltd. and discussions covered updates from key committees, including Environmental, PCMC, PMRDA, IGR, District Collector, Police, UDD, Member Assistance and KUSHAL.
During the event, Shri Makarand Nikam, City Engineer of PCMC, unveiled significant publications – the Safety Souvenir and the Safety SOP. These books serve as crucial resources in promoting safety standards and best practices within the construction industry. The meeting also included the felicitation of the winners of the CREDAI Pune Metro Safety Awards 2024-25 by Mr. Ranjit Naiknavare, President of CREDAI Pune Metro, Shri. Arvind Jain, VP CREDAI Pune Metro & Chairman Labour Welfare Committee, Mrs. Sapna Rathi, Convener of the Labour Welfare Committee, Shri. Milind Talathi and Shri. Parag Patil, Co-Conveners of the Labour Welfare Committee.
A highlight of the event was the launch of an informative booklet, Construction Vendors at Your Fingertips, compiled by Neevay. The booklet serves as a guide to registered and reliable vendors and contractors, exclusively for CREDAI Pune Metro’s member developers.
Addressing the general body meeting Mr. Ranjit Naiknavare, President, CREDAI Pune-Metro, said, ““I appreciate the members who relentlessly support and work for the safety and welfare of the labourers, CREDAI Pune Metro has introduced two new initiatives of labour safety awards which will help us spread awareness, educate our members for construction site safety & the vendor directory which will help our members to quickly choose negotiate with multiple vendors while providing the best of quality and affordability for our consumers”.”
Speaking on the occasion Shri Makarand Nikam, City Engineer of PCMC, appreciated the efforts taken by CREDAI Pune Metro and added, “A developer develops the city, only the government cannot develop the city.”
