Tokyo: NX Logistics India Private Limited (hereafter “NX Logistics India”), a group company of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC., has opened a Phase 2 warehouse at its Sri City Logistics Center in Sri City Industrial Park located in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
Conveniently located near Chennai Airport and four ports, Sri City Industrial Park is home to more than 220 companies from mobility, technology, healthcare and other industries doing business in India. In 2017, NX Logistics India became the first logistics company to open a warehouse — the Sri City Logistics Center — in Sri City Industrial Park, from which it has since been offering logistics services primarily to mobility-related customers, and its recent completion of the Phase 2 warehouse will enable it to better meet the diversifying logistics needs of various customers in the region.
The new warehouse boasts a total warehouse area of 21,024m2 and is equipped with state-of-the-art logistics systems and a heavy-duty racking system up to 10 meters high to ensure efficient storage space. A dedicated team performs data analyses for warehousing operations such as receiving, shipping, picking and packing to provide optimal logistics operations for customers across a range of industries, including mobility and technology.
Muneo Takahashi, Consul-General of Japan in Chennai, Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder and Managing Director of Sri City Private Limited, and Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chennai/Executive Michiyasu Saito attended an opening ceremony as guests of honor and cut the ribbon along with NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS Senior Managing Executive Officer Tadahiro Furue, Nippon Express (South Asia & Oceania) President Katsuhito Kobayashi, and NX Logistics India Managing Director Mayur Toshniwal.
