Quartz surface brand Specta to unveil new manufacturing plant to cater to luxury housing growth in Indian cities

Jaipur: Specta, a luxury quartz surface brand under the ARL Group, is set to launch one of India’s largest quartz surface manufacturing plants in Jaipur. The state-of-the-art facility is designed to produce 30,000 square feet of quartz slabs per day and will become operational later this year. With this new plant, Specta is doubling down on its commitment to create a domestic market for a premium product that is widely used in the West.

The Jaipur plant will operate on the globally acclaimed Bretonstone technology—also used in Specta’s first plant—and will house next-generation capabilities including the production of 7mm ultra-thin quartz. The facility will also produce significantly larger slab sizes, increasing from the current 57 square feet to approximately 76 square feet, making them more suitable for expansive, luxurious kitchens and seamless surface applications. This innovation marks a major leap in the Indian market, making use cases like quartz for curved surfaces, claddings, kitchen shutters and wardrobes accessible through domestic manufacturing for the first time.

Founded in 2023 as the luxury surfaces brand by the 30-year-old ARL Group, Specta has quickly grown into one of the fastest-scaling players in India’s luxury quartz surface industry. Within just 2 years, the brand has captured 18% domestic market share and clocked Rs 150 crore in revenue, supported by its first manufacturing plant.

With the launch of this second plant, Specta is not only targeting the premium segment of Tier-1 cities but also expanding into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities—where demand for luxury housing is growing rapidly, led by rising disposable incomes and aspirational consumer behavior. As per ANAROCK, luxury housing (units priced above Rs 1.5 crore) now accounts for 17% of all new launches in India, with smaller cities contributing 12% to this growth. With this new facility, Specta aims to reach Rs 300 crore in revenue by FY26.

Speaking on the launch of the new plant, Ankit Jain, Founder of Specta, said, “At Specta, we’ve always believed in pushing the boundaries of design, functionality and sustainability. This new plant is not just about scale, it’s about setting new benchmarks in the industry. By bringing advanced technologies like 7mm quartz to the Indian market, we are ushering in innovation at the intersection of luxury and functionality, and bringing India on par with products that are widely used in the Western world. The facility will help us scale production rapidly while staying deeply committed to Make-in-India manufacturing and sustainable job creation.”

The plant is also expected to create around 150 new job opportunities in Rajasthan and significantly contribute to the local and national economy. As one of India’s largest quartz surface manufacturing facilities, it will serve as a major anchor in Specta’s long-term vision of scaling responsibly through localised production, cutting-edge R&D and design-led innovation.
