Pune: TRUMPF, a global leader in industrial machine tools and laser technology, marked a significant milestone in its India growth journey with the inauguration of its new manufacturing facility in Chakan, Maharashtra. Spread over 4,400 square meters, the facility will focus on assembling vending machines, with plans to produce 35 units in the current year and scale up to 200 units annually within the next three years.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by a distinguished gathering of industry leaders and partners, including Stephan Mayer, CEO Machine Tools and Member of the Management Board, TRUMPF Germany; Till Kueppers, COO Machine Tools, TRUMPF Germany; and other key dignitaries from IMTMA, VDMA India, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, and several leading Indian manufacturing firms.
Established in India in 2006, TRUMPF (India) Pvt. Ltd., headquartered in Pune, is a wholly owned subsidiary of TRUMPF Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH, Germany. The company provides sales, service, and application support for a wide range of machine tools and laser solutions.
TRUMPF’s product portfolio in India includes 2D laser cutting machines, CNC punching and bending machines, 3D cutting and welding machines, marking systems, and OEM laser solutions such as CO₂ lasers, solid-state disk lasers, diode lasers, pulse lasers, and fiber lasers.
With this new facility, TRUMPF aims to strengthen its local manufacturing footprint and enhance export potential, aligning with the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative and growing industrial demand.
