Mumbai: EUROBOND, the flagship brand of Euro Panel Products Limited, has secured India’s most expansive certification from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), a constituent board of the Quality Council of India. The company officially broadened its in-house testing laboratory’s accreditation scope from the initial 16 parameters to 51 parameters across mechanical and chemical testing. This milestone equips EUROBOND with an NABL-accredited lab to independently test the mechanical and chemical parameters of coil, coating, core, ACP and MCP.
Architectural projects rely heavily on globally recognized material standards like IS, ASTM, AAMA, and EN. Evaluating products against these precise benchmarks is essential to support the 10 to 20 year warranties required for exterior exposure. The NABL accreditation ensures the EUROBOND laboratory conducts these critical tests exactly as specified by international standards. Securing this certification demands an uncompromising level of rigour. It requires strict verification of all lab equipment, highly specialized staff competence, and absolute process integrity. This high standard is continuously enforced through strict compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards, necessitating all technical assessments, internal audits, and quality documents to be retained for a mandatory minimum period of 3 years. By evaluating materials against 51 parameters, the lab provides scientifically backed assurance that its test reports reflect the exact properties of the panels.
NABL is a full member and signatory to the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC) Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRA). This global framework ensures that EUROBOND’s test and calibration results are recognized and accepted across international borders.
In a category where manufacturers typically test their own products in their own labs and issue their own compliance reports, customers are effectively being asked to trust a company’s account of its own quality. For most everyday architectural projects, commissioning independent lab verification simply isn’t practical or accessible. That leaves clients relying on the manufacturer’s word, with no easy way to check it. Every test report issued by the EUROBOND in-house lab now carries the official NABL logo, explicitly detailing the precise test methods, standards referenced, and verified results — replacing unverified certificates with data backed by independent, third-party accreditation. Clients also gain a direct escalation path to NABL: in the rare event of a discrepancy, the accreditation body can enforce corrective action.
For India’s ACP and metal cladding industry, where facade failures and mismatched material claims have drawn increasing scrutiny, independently verified testing has largely remained the exception rather than the norm. By becoming the first and only Indian ACP brand to hold such an extensive NABL accreditation, EUROBOND sets a new compliance benchmark that raises the bar for the entire category. Architects and specifiers evaluating facade materials for 10-to-20-year exterior warranties now have a clear reference point for what rigorous, third-party-verified testing should look like — pressuring the wider industry to close the gap between marketed performance and verified performance.
Mr Divyam Shah, Whole Time Director and CFO of Euro Panel Products Limited, shared his perspective on how this accreditation empowers the consumer. ““Trust and transparency – that’s how we’ve built this company from day one, and this accreditation is simply that culture made measurable. In an industry where claims are easy to make and hard to verify, we wanted our words backed by proof, not promises. This isn’t just another certificate for our shelf; it’s an internationally recognised benchmark, accepted by accreditation bodies across the world, that any customer, architect, or consultant can check for themselves. When clients see the NABL logo on our reports, they know the data is precise, unbiased, and completely accurate. They’re no longer taking our word for it, they’re reading an independently verified record that holds up to global scrutiny. That’s the kind of transparency we believe every customer deserves, and the kind of accountability we want the entire category to be measured against.”
This advanced certification builds upon the company’s robust quality control foundation. Furthermore, EUROBOND is the only Indian ACP brand to receive NABL accreditation for testing parameters specific to Aluminium Honeycomb Panels. Euro Panel Products Limited continues to maintain an extensive portfolio of stringent certifications that place its products among the most reliable globally. These include the BIS certification, TÜV ISO 9001-2015, ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, NFPA 285 for internationally recognised fire testing of wall assemblies, Certifire for the fire retardant panel FR Class A2, and the Thomas Bell Wright certification for the Fire Retardant panels Eurocomb, Eurocore, and FR Plus.
