Coimbatore: Hong Kong based Crown Worldwide Group has launched its new facility in India in Coimbatore, marking a significant expansion in one of its most important global markets. Located on a 4.5 acre site, the facility is designed with future growth in mind. It supports a Phase 1 capacity of over 468,000 Standard Carton Equivalents (SCE), with expansion potential up to 720,000 SCE in Phase 2 through an additional 45,000 sq. ft. It strengthens Crown’s ability to serve a growing client base in India with integrated storage and information management solutions. The facility will also support Crown Relocations and Crown Workspace, including its Renew Centre, which focuses on refurbishing and reusing workplace assets.
India continues to be a key growth driver for Crown globally, with sustained demand across sectors and increasing need for secure, scalable information and asset management. The launch of the Coimbatore facility reflects the Group’s continued investment in building long-term infrastructure aligned with this growth.
The inauguration was attended by Crown’s global leadership, including Jennifer Harvey, Group CEO, Tze Shen Kong, CEO – Asia, and Srinivas Krishnan, Regional Managing Director – South Asia.
“As Asian economies continue to grow, so does the demand for infrastructure partners,” said Jennifer Harvey, Group CEO, Crown Worldwide Group. “India is one of our fastest growing markets and this new facility strengthens our ability to support clients with physical document and corporate asset storage, digitalization, and information management solutions.
Designed for scale, the facility integrates infrastructure and systems to manage high operational volumes efficiently. A centralised Building Management System enables real-time monitoring of critical functions—including fire safety, electrical systems, and climate control—accessible across Crown’s global network.
The site is also built for future expansion. Phase 2 will add 45,000 sq. ft., increasing total capacity to 720,000 SCE, with expansion designed to take place without disrupting ongoing operations. This positions the facility to support the next phase of demand as businesses scale and data management needs become more complex.
“We invest in markets with sustained growth and India continues to stand out in that regard,” said Tze Shen Kong, CEO, Asia, Crown Worldwide Group. “This facility significantly strengthens our ability to serve clients operating in and out of India.”
The facility combines scale with operational resilience. Fire protection systems aligned with Indian Standards are supported by a 530,000-litre water reserve, full-site hydrant coverage, and in-warehouse sprinklers. Security is managed through 24/7 surveillance, access-controlled entry points, and intrusion detection systems.
Sustainability features include insulated construction that reduces internal temperatures by 3–4°C, high-reflectance roofing, and green cover across 15% of the site—aligning operational efficiency with environmental considerations.
“India is not just a growth market for Crown, it is increasingly central to how we are building capacity for the region,” said Srinivas Krishnan, Regional Managing Director – South Asia, Crown Worldwide Group. “This facility strengthens our network while preparing us for the scale and complexity of demand we are seeing from clients in South India.”
