New Delhi: Plumage Solutions Private Limited and Shenzhen Huntkey Electric Co., Ltd. have announced a strategic partnership to develop, localize, manufacture, market and commercialize power products in India.
The collaboration will focus on the manufacturing of power adapters, power supplies, chargers and other power conversion and charging products, particularly for the IT hardware market. The partnership will serve customers in both the Indian and international markets, with an initial manufacturing capacity of 1 million units annually, commencing from October 2026 in Puducherry, India.
The partnership combines Huntkey’s established product portfolio, technology and engineering expertise with Plumage’s manufacturing infrastructure, engineering capabilities and understanding of the Indian electronics manufacturing ecosystem. The companies intend to jointly position India as a competitive manufacturing and sourcing destination for global OEM customers seeking reliable and cost-effective power product solutions.
A key focus of the partnership will be the progressive localization of supply chains in India, including product customization, engineering development and component localization. The companies also intend to develop a long-term roadmap to expand the range and scale of power products manufactured in India.
The products will be progressively localized in India in alignment with applicable Make in India and PLI Scheme 2.0 for IT Hardware requirements, including localization of components such as chassis, EMI shielding components, PCBAs and other eligible sub-assemblies and components.
